The wings are good, the specialy plates ....like when they have stuff for St. Patty's day, are pretty good. It always seems like something is missing in the cuisine department. They are nice there, I don't care for the cafeteria style seating on the restaurant side. The nachos and blue cheese dip is extremely salty.

Okay.. So the service is not the highlight of this place that is for sure.. But man, they have THE BEST wings! Their 'rowdy' sauce is a perfect mixture of hot, bbq, garlic, Asian, you name it. Also.. The wings are HUGE! They're so good you want more than one order but one is plenty!!! If you're feeling a little more fancy they have a fine dining menu on the back featuring steaks, seafoods, ribs, etc.. You can't go wrong there- my boyfriend gets the ribs everytime! I am not sure how many restaurants there are in Tipp City, but this one is my favorite! (Let me just mention again you may be waiting for your food for a while because the waitresses take their time!)

Great place locally owned. I get the salmon every time. The white turkey chili rocks too. You can't go wrong here. If you are in from out of town come here. It's worth it.

So, after a wonderful anniversary weekend, Jules and I decided to pick up lunch before doing some shopping for a dinner in. Our choice this time around? Harrison's, as neither of us felt like we got a good handle on the place after our first visit. This time? I definitely have a handle on it. Harrison's is 'old people food'. When we arrived, Harrison's was fairly busy, but there was no wait--nearly everyone in the restaurant had already been seated with most having already been served their food. Jules and I waited a solid 20 minutes before our drink orders were even taken and, even then, the waitress was particularly curt, bordering on rude. I ordered the corn-dusted walleye--which, Jules told me, was a good choice as it was in season--while she had the clam strips. My fish was plated sloppily, with the herb butter covering more of my french fries than the fish itself. That's messy, but forgivable...if the fish would taste good on its own. With the herb butter, it tasted fine. Without? Bland as bland could be, tasting only of the gritty cornmeal it was crusted with. The fish had no salt, no pepper, no flavor at all--seriously, I've tasted more flavorful fish at Long John Silvers. I was excited, upon reading the menu, to see that the Sunday special was "buy one, get one 1/2 off" entrees. Figuring that'd save us some money, you'd understand my utter shock to see a $30 bill! Without that half off, we would have easily paid $40 for a meal that was, at best, mediocre. For that price, let me drive back to Straits of Malacca or Jeet India and get something flavorful. Decidedly, I won't be back to Harrison's. Let the elderly take it.

I'm from Bethel which is just outside the general Tipp area, and have been to Harrison's on a few occasions. However, today was just not a pleasant experience. I ordered the ground Turkey burger with Swiss on a pretzel bun. The patty itself was not seasoned and tasted very bland. Additionally, the inside was very pink and unappetizing. Turkey burgers should be more of a white color inside, not pink. In many restaurants the quality of food suffers because the chefs never taste their food and adjust seasoning and cooking methods. I fear that may be the case here. Our server was friendly but not very attentive. We waited ten minutes after we were finished eating before she returned with our checks. The place wasn't busy at all, and I made eye contact on several occasions with the manager who looked away and continued his conversation with another employee behind the bar. Harrison's is alright for what it is, but I would rather spend time and money on a more memorable dining experience and flavorful food.

Had a great experience eating here. Our server was very attentive to our every need, the food came out quickly and piping hot, and the atmosphere was great. The three people in my party all got three totally different items and we were all very pleased with our dishes. There's a lot of variety on the menu which is great for my picky family. The only reason I didn't rate Harrison's a 5 star was because we got a lunch order to go and got home and realized we didn't get what we had ordered. But even the meal we got was scarfed down by my husband who, in between mouthfuls, said it was delicious! Can't wait to try this restaurant out again!

The service seemed a bit iffy, especially as most of the servers were walking around in street clothes. The bartender was actually our server and at first I thought it was kinda a snooty pseudo high class place but in the end we got a bit of feedback, were taken care of properly and even had a nice little conversation about the history of the place and the food. Oh this is the place to get broccoli. They give you this huge delicious stalk cooked with butter and seasoned amazingly, the best broccoli I've probably ever had. I split a double pork chop with my girlfriend, I forgot what side she had but I'm quite sure it was delicious. I had collard greens which were good, but too salty. My future father in law had cod coleslaw and fries..I think, probably what he had for most of his meals during the week. So the pork chops had to have been grilled, I cant remember exactly, but they were so delicious and moist, I believe they also came with a side of unsweetened applesauce, which of course paired exceptionally well with them, perfect, probably best item on the menu. Oh and skip the soda bread and get the rye. It would of course be even better if they toasted it but still not complaints. Overall I feel like we had a good time, I might have felt a bit underdressed (tank and gym shorts) thus I also felt like I was being judged by the servers; but I was surprised by the good service I received and how good the food was.

Dined here several times now over the past few years. The decor is interesting, decent, reclaimed late 1800 store front. Food is marginal, to good at it best. Sevice is hit and miss. They wanted $300 deposit to take a reservation for 20 people, WOW! you bring in 20 meals worth business and they want $300 guarantee?? I think they are mistaking themselves for Delmonicos' !?

This place has a lot of potential and my meal (salad with salmon) was very good. I'm confused, though. I think they are trying to do too much. It's wing night tonight, and this ain't a wings kind of place. Just my thought. Decide who you are and be it. My server was very nice and very professional. I thought the price / value thing was appropriate. I would come back here. The house cab was priced right.

The food is consistently excellent, and they're always adding new items to the menu. The Monday night steak dinner is a great deal ($6.99 for a steak, potato, and green beans). Wednesday is $1 margaritas. Thursday is $2, or less, pint night. My personal favourite is the pastrami sandwich with their homemade chips. The only thing keeping them from a five-star rating is a poor draft beer selection. If you're in the area and want an excellent meal. Head to Harrison's.

Harrison's is awesome - easily one of the best lunch and dinner spots in Tipp! The Black & Bleu Salmon Salad is my favorite entree, hands down. I also really like their pretzel-bun sandwiches and all of their wraps. They have a nice mix of unique deserts and access to a full bar is a plus. We have business lunches there at least a couple times a month. Their event rooms are great for larger meetings and company functions.

I was excited to eat here after reading some really good reviews here on Yelp. I have to say I was very disappointed. My salad came out partially frozen and my husband's dinner (clam poboy) was nasty. I has pasta with pesto, not horrible, but definitely forgettable. The one bright spot and the reason they get two stars is the service. Everyone was SUPER nice and helpful. I think I may try again someday, but stick to the "wing night" that everyone RAVES about. Better luck next time.

Love me some Harrison's. The fried mushrooms are to die for...big mushrooms with little breading. Watch out for the horsey sauce...ouch. That stuff is potent, it will rock your world. The interior/atmosphere is amazing. Always had good service and food. After dinner check out the local shops...The Hotel Gallery, Living Simply Soaps, etc.

Super cheap wing night. Love it and go all the time! Cheap drafts and decent enough liquor selection for the bar. Their other food has been good on the rare occasion I don't go on Tuesdays and order off their full menu.
(4)Dan B.
I've been there at least 20 times and love this place. The service is excellent and the food choices are creative and delicious. My favorite is the black and bleu salad (blackened salmon on a salad with bleu cheese) but everything on the menu is great.

Stopped in to try something new today. Beautiful old restaurant with an awesome bar in the tavern room. The special was buy 1 get 1 half off entrees today. The salads were good; cherry vinaigrette house dressing was okay but blue cheese was great. City Mac n Cheese was good but too many onion chunks and not enough cheese flavor. Pork chops and collards were amazing though! Also, only $4 for a giant goose island IPA! Will be back to try more items!

Usually a nice place for a casual dinner. Tonight the meal was mediocre and the service was poor. Couldn't catch the waitress for refills until the very end of the meal. She also didn't bring bread "Because people usually ask and we didn't." Not sure I've ever been some place where I've had to ask. Now I'm still waiting for the bill. Pretty disappointing evening out.

We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon after going to farmers market. Service was great, our server was friendly and kept up on our table. Food was pretty good. Very nice old tavern. Very clean.

I have a hard time keeping myself away from Harrison's Restaurant. What with their convenient location, warm and inviting atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food I eat there twice a week enjoying lunch or dinner. My fave? Wing night (35cents!) is great, I can feed the whole family for less than 20 bucks after tip. I also appreciate how Harrison's opens their doors to charities and non-profit organizations. It's great to feel loved!

I went back to Harrison's for another Tuesday night dinner. Tuesday nights are wing nights. AMAZING wings!!! I'd say among the top 3 in the Dayton area. I don't dare say exactly what ranking...I think that Harrison's, Hinder's and W.O. Wright's are an even #1 in my book.

Harrisons is a very good restaurant that has high quality specials. The food has always been very good and in good portions. The menu is fairly varied between salads to sandwiches to pork chops to whitefish. Again always well done. The negative point would be with the service during certain times. They have a large upstairs section and if it gets busy they can fall behind quickly and it can take awhile to get your drinks and food. Still the good food typically offsets these busy times and is a quality place to go.

Good food, friendly service, reasonable prices. The bar area is a nice alternative to the other dive bars in town, and they have $1.00 domestic draughts on Thursday nights. I wish they stayed open longer, but they are a restaurant and not a bar so I can see why they close when they do. This is a great little place. Try the turkey chili!
(4)Matt W.
I don't think they know what they are. Part bar food, they try to take things up a notch but did not dp it very well. Expensive for what you get and service was slow and seemed almost passive aggressive. The blackened fish my wife got was really well done but that was the only bright spot.

I stopped in Harrison's before being an invited guest of the Olde Tipp City Ghost Walks. Your food was fantastic. The location is very clean and classy. Enjoyed the food and the wait staff. Its a long drive from Columbus to eat, but it was the best on my nights stay in your town. Thank you.

Really good food actually however worst beer and wine menu possibly in Ohio. Get some good craft beers and wine...they compliment the food. I'll pass this place in future but would be back often with a good rotating craft beer handle.
(3)Jordan W.
Food and service have always been an A+ I used to go there regularly and have never had a problem with service time or conditions of food. If you go to a place like this with time constraints you should reconsider your dining options. The menu here is diverse and I don't know anyone who has gotten something 'bad' yet.

Love this place! I eat here about twice a week and always find something for whatever mood I'm in. I love the white turkey chili and other soup options for lunch or the smokin' chef's salad. It has this smoked turkey on it that is amazing! Recently I had a southwest soup that was the best soup I've ever had...had a barbecue taste and just enough spice. Great atmosphere in the tavern side by the bar too!

Sad to say, after two to three years of avoiding this restaurant, we tried again. The salad wasted bread were excellent, so we were hopeful. The stroganoff was so Disappointing from first sight. It was quite obviously not a skilled chef, a la bullion cube faire...gag. The rest of the meals were less than expected for sure. Never again, we agree.
